Motorists face a 30-day closure on the eastern railway road between Wat Tham Samakkhi and Khao Talo intersections while Pattaya installs a major drainage pipeline.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City has temporarily closed a 275-metre section of the eastern railway road between Wat Tham Samakkhi intersection and Khao Talo intersection from October 30 to November 30 to carry out drainage construction works.

The closure is part of Phase 2 of the Eastern Railway Road drainage system project. The contractor, Dynamic Group Products Co., Ltd., will excavate and install a 1,200-millimetre-diameter high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pressure pipe to connect with the Sump 4 pumping station. As the construction route runs through the existing road surface, the affected section must remain closed to traffic for approximately 30 days to allow the work to proceed safely.

Pattaya City is asking motorists to follow temporary diversion routes, observe warning signs and plan their journeys in advance to avoid delays. The city apologized for the inconvenience and urged motorists to exercise caution when travelling near the construction area. For further information, contact Pattaya City’s Sanitation Engineering Office at 038-253247-8 during official working hours, or Pattaya Contact Centre 1337, available 24 hours a day.

A 1,200-millimetre drainage pipe will connect the eastern railway road system to the Sump 4 pumping station under Pattaya’s Phase 2 project.
