PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya is expected to be hit with heavy rain and strong winds over the coming days as Tropical Storm Bualoi intensifies weather conditions across Thailand. The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) has warned of downpours between September 28-30, with the eastern region, including Chonburi province, at risk of flash floods, forest runoff, and overflowing waterways.

Local authorities in Pattaya are urging residents in flood-prone and low-lying areas to prepare for possible inundation. Beachfront zones, road underpasses, and neighborhoods near canals are being closely monitored.

At sea, conditions are forecast to worsen, with waves reaching up to two meters in the upper Gulf of Thailand and even higher during thunderstorms. Fishermen and small boat operators around Pattaya Bay and nearby islands have been advised to exercise extreme caution and avoid venturing out in risky conditions.

Officials have asked the public to stay alert for further advisories and to follow safety instructions, as the storm system continues to move westward toward Vietnam before weakening.
