PATTAYA, Thailand – Weekdays or weekends, rain or shine, the rules apply to everyone. Pattaya municipal enforcement officers, working with police and relevant agencies, are enforcing parking regulations along Pattaya Beach to keep public spaces accessible to residents and tourists.
The operation targets vehicles parked along red-and-white kerbs, cars and motorcycles parked or driven on footpaths, and the unauthorized occupation of public parking spaces for private business, including renting out spaces or reserving them for personal use.
Officials said violators would face legal action, including those using public areas for commercial purposes without permission. Convenient parking should never come at the expense of public access. Parking in a prohibited area can mean towing, fines and valuable time wasted dealing with the consequences.
Motorists visiting Pattaya Beach are advised to park at their accommodation, in shopping mall car parks or in designated parking areas rather than risk an illegal stop. Public roads, footpaths and parking spaces must remain accessible to everyone, not claimed for private benefit.
