Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet meets senior executives from Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital and Abhakornkiatiwong Hospital to discuss medical services and healthcare benefits for residents.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City is working with two Royal Thai Navy hospitals to improve public awareness of medical services and healthcare benefits, giving residents more information about available treatment options.

Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet welcomed Rear Admiral Suchet Takkathada, director of Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital, and Rear Admiral Somporn Rawangthong, director of Abhakornkiatiwong Hospital at Sattahip Naval Base, at Pattaya City Hall on November 4. Hospital personnel and Pattaya officials also attended the meeting.

The naval hospital delegation presented the medical capabilities, treatment services and healthcare benefits available through the two facilities. The visit formed part of Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital’s public information and outreach programme, which aims to make government agencies and private organisations more familiar with its services and the benefits available to eligible patients.

The program is intended to help people make informed choices about medical care and understand how to access treatment and use their healthcare entitlements correctly. Mayor Poramet said healthcare was essential to people’s quality of life. Making information about medical services and treatment benefits more widely available would give residents greater choice and help them use their entitlements appropriately.

He also assigned staff from Pattaya City Hospital to brief the naval hospital executives on the municipal hospital’s responsibilities, services and operational objectives. The exchange allowed both sides to share information and experience about healthcare delivery, with the aim of supporting further development of medical services and improving healthcare for people in the Pattaya area.

The cooperation aims to make residents more aware of available medical services and treatment benefits, helping them understand their healthcare entitlements and access suitable care.
