Pattaya advances long-term care system for seniors toward model city for quality aging

PATTAYA, Thailand – Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn chaired the first meeting of the Subcommittee on Supporting Long-Term Care Services for Dependent Seniors and Other Dependents in Pattaya (1/2569) at Meeting Room 242, Pattaya City Hall. Dr. Phithaya Pirom-on, Assistant Secretary to the Mayor, joined alongside committee members in a full session.



The meeting reviewed operational strategies, budget allocations for FY 2568–2569 (2025-2026), and performance reports from the past year. Discussions focused on improving long-term care services for dependent seniors within Pattaya, emphasizing coordination among government agencies, public health personnel, and community representatives.

Pattaya aims to enhance the quality of life for its elderly residents, enabling them to live safely, with dignity, and happily within the community. The city is moving forward to become a “model city for sustainable senior care.”
