Nongyai residents given free annual checkups

The Nongprue Public Health Department administered free checkups for Nongyai Community residents, looking for medical ailments and giving them tips on healthy eating.

Workers checked for diabetes, blood pressure issues, proper weight and more. Many residents discovered they had health issues they were totally unaware of.

Residents were advised to exercise daily, eat healthy, reduce alcohol consumption and stop smoking.

Foreign expats in Nongyai area also were attended to by public health workers during the annual health check activities.

Staffers said many people eat unhealthy food that can take a big toll on their physical health. Some are not sleeping properly, which is also a big part of the daily healthy living, because people can be more vulnerable to various diseases without knowing it.
