It was back to school for 52 Pattaya-area senior citizens who have started a two-year educational journey in Nongprue.

The subdistrict on June 7 marked the start of third class for its free educational classes for the elderly. Classroom leader Somporn Rattanasuk and Nongprue Councilwoman Siripen Lekdee were the teachers on the first day at the Nongprue Municipal Elderly School on Soi Nernplubwan.

Classes include primary healthcare, religious and Thai culture, mental health and electives like food preparation and cooking.

Those interested in joining can apply at the Public Health and Environment Department.
