PATTAYA, Thailand – A shocking late-night encounter with a cobra inside a hotel room has left tourists shaken and sparked renewed safety concerns for accommodations located near natural surroundings across Thailand, including destinations like Pattaya.
The incident, which quickly went viral on social media, was shared by Facebook user Kannuttakorn Uttaranakron, who described a terrifying experience while staying at a hotel in Krabi.
According to the post, the ordeal unfolded around 5 a.m. when the guest’s partner suddenly ran out of the room in panic, screaming that a snake was on the bed. In a moment of confusion, the poster initially thought it was something supernatural—until the horrifying reality became clear.
A large black cobra had reportedly slithered across the bed and over the guest’s neck while they were sleeping.
“Snake… it crawled over my neck,” the partner said, leaving both in shock. Despite the extremely close encounter, no one was bitten, but the psychological impact has been significant.
