PATTAYA, Thailand – A confrontation between an app-based delivery rider and a local motorcycle taxi driver was captured on video outside a condominium in Naklua on the night of June 18, highlighting ongoing tensions over passenger pickups in some areas of Pattaya. The incident reportedly occurred outside Lumpini Condominium in Naklua, where a rider had arrived to pick up a customer. According to information shared online, the dispute began when the rider was allegedly prevented from entering the condominium area to collect the passenger. A verbal argument then broke out between the rider and a local motorcycle taxi driver.



Video footage circulating on social media shows the two men engaged in a heated confrontation outside the property. The disagreement reportedly resulted in the customer cancelling the ride before the pickup could be completed. The incident has generated discussion online, with many social media users debating access rights for app-based transport services and the recurring friction between ride-hailing operators and traditional motorcycle taxi groups.
