The Tourism Authority of Thailand welcomes LOT Polish Airlines’ announcement of a new year-round, non-stop Warsaw–Bangkok service starting October 26, 2026, marking the first direct commercial air link between Poland and Thailand and strengthening tourism ties with Central and Eastern Europe.

PATTAYA, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) welcomes the announcement by LOT Polish Airlines confirming the launch of its first-ever direct commercial flights between Warsaw and Bangkok, scheduled to commence on 26 October 2026.

The launch reflects coordinated efforts by TAT under the Airline Focus strategy, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw and public and private sector partners, responding to sustained growth in demand from the Polish market and reinforcing Thailand’s position as a leading long-haul destination in Europe.

LOT Polish Airlines will operate the Warsaw–Bangkok service five times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Flight LO65 will depart Warsaw in the afternoon, with the return service, flight LO66, operating from Bangkok in the morning. Ticket sales are now open through the airline’s official sales channels.

The new year-round service marks the first scheduled non-stop commercial air link between Poland and Thailand, replacing reliance on indirect services via Middle Eastern hubs and seasonal charter flights. The direct connection is expected to enhance travel convenience, support longer stays and strengthening tourism and economic links between the two countries, while improving Thailand’s accessibility from Central and Eastern Europe.

Thailand remains a highly popular destination for Polish travellers, particularly for leisure travel. Strong demand continues for coastal destinations including Phuket, Krabi and Ko Samui, alongside growing interest in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Hua Hin. Polish visitors typically stay an average of 14 days, with average expenditure of approximately 68,000 Baht per trip.

Poland continues to perform strongly as a European source market for Thailand. In 2024, Thailand welcomed 180,722 visitors from Poland, generating tourism revenue of 11.68 billion Baht. From 1 January to 15 December 2025, arrivals reached 213,511, representing year-on-year growth of 29.92 per cent. Full-year arrivals are projected at around 230,000, with estimated tourism revenue of approximately 15.64 billion Baht. (TAT)
