PATTAYA, Thailand – Officials in Jomtien have stepped up monitoring efforts after illegal dumping was found continuing in a public area of Soi Thepprasit 9, despite clear warning signs prohibiting such activity, May 16. The Jomtien municipal enforcement team inspected the area following complaints and discovered that additional piles of garbage had been illegally disposed of at the location. Authorities noted that this occurred even though prominent signs had been installed to warn against dumping waste in the area.



During the inspection, no individuals responsible for the dumping were found at the scene. Officials stated that investigations will continue in an effort to identify those involved. The enforcement team confirmed that the area will now be placed under closer surveillance to prevent repeat incidents. Regular patrols and monitoring will be carried out to deter further illegal dumping and maintain cleanliness and order in the public space. Authorities reiterated that dumping waste in unauthorized areas is a violation of local regulations and urged residents and businesses to properly dispose of garbage through official waste collection channels.
