Indian tourist reports alleged theft by transgender suspects to Pattaya police

The Indian tourist arrives at Pattaya City Police Station to file a complaint after reporting the alleged theft of cash and foreign currency from his hotel room near Pattaya Beach.

PATTAYA, Thailand A 59-year-old Indian tourist has filed a police complaint in Pattaya after claiming he was robbed of cash and foreign currency worth more than 25,000 baht by transgender individuals in a hotel room near Pattaya Beach on April 11.

The complainant reported the incident to Pattaya City Police at around 01:06 a.m., stating that he lost 5,000 baht in cash, 300 US dollars, and 300 euros after meeting a transgender person on Pattaya Beach and inviting them back to his hotel room.



According to his statement through an interpreter, the tourist agreed to bring the individual to his room after a meeting at the beach, but later discovered that his belongings were missing. He then sought help from hotel security before filing a formal complaint.

Hotel staff said the tourist ran down from his room wearing only a towel and reported the theft, but a search of the suspects did not immediately recover the foreign currency as alleged.

Police have recorded the complaint, collected statements from individuals involved, and are reviewing CCTV footage as part of the investigation to ensure fairness for all parties.
