PATTAYA, Thailand – A French national suffered severe injuries early on 27 October after leaping from the fifth floor of a hotel in South Pattaya. Rescue teams and medical personnel performed CPR at the scene before rushing him to Pattaya City Hospital.
Security staff reported the man had been climbing on the balcony behind his fifth-floor room after a loud phone argument, believed to involve his girlfriend. Despite being warned to stop, he briefly returned to the balcony and then jumped.
Police found no signs of a struggle in the room, only some cannabis, and suspect the man acted out of emotional distress from the relationship. Authorities are coordinating with the phone contact to investigate the incident further.
