The Provincial Waterworks Authority is offering free water to drought affected residents of Banglamung District. This unlimited supply is due to last until drought conditions are deemed over.
District Chief Chakorn Kanjawattana announced the drought-relief policy at a meeting with Security and Peace Maintenance Department personnel and police officials from Nongprue and Huay Yai sub-districts.

The PWA is distributing water between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Mabprachan and Huay Chaknok reservoirs.
Those ordering water must specify how much of the wet stuff is needed and their vehicle license plate number.
In other matters, Chakorn also warned security personnel to keep a wary eye on area children following reports that a child was abducted and raped in Takhiantia. No suspect has been apprehended.
