PATTAYA, Thailand – A fire broke out at a two-storey residential house in Samaesarn, a coastal area south of Pattaya, on the afternoon of April 1, causing alarm among local residents.
The incident occurred around 4:00 PM near the Samaesarn fishing bridge, prompting village head Nattapong Pitakkorn to coordinate an emergency response. Fire engines from the Samaesarn Subdistrict Municipality were quickly dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters spent more than 30 minutes battling the blaze before successfully bringing it under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes.
No injuries or fatalities have been reported.
Initial assessments suggest the fire may have been caused by an electrical short circuit, though officials say a full investigation will be carried out to determine the exact cause.
Authorities have urged residents in areas around Pattaya and Sattahip to remain cautious and ensure electrical systems are properly maintained to reduce the risk of similar incidents.
