SING BURI, Thailand – A fire broke out at a prayer hall inside Wat Bot in Tha Chang district, Sing Buri province, early on October 3, prompting firefighters and rescue teams to rush to the scene. No injuries or deaths have been reported.

The fire was reported at around 5.30 a.m. as residents and community leaders contacted local disaster prevention officials, firefighters and rescue workers for assistance. Water trucks were deployed to spray the burning building and prevent the flames from spreading to nearby monastic buildings, historic structures and other facilities. Officials managed to contain the fire within the affected area.



The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have not yet been established. Police and forensic officers will inspect the site after the fire is fully extinguished and the area is declared safe.
