Drunk foreigner injured after falling from height near Pattaya’s Pratumnak Pier

Jomtien municipal officers found an intoxicated foreign man with head injuries and abrasions after he reportedly fell from a height near a pier on Pratumnak Soi 5.

PATTAYA, Thailand – A foreign man was injured after falling from a height near a pier in the Pratumnak area late Tuesday night, April 21, prompting a response from municipal officers and rescue workers.

Jomtien municipal officers received reports from local residents of an intoxicated foreign man who had fallen near the Ziggy Pier area on Pratumnak Road Soi 5.

Officers arrived at the scene and found the man with a head wound and minor abrasions on his arms and legs.



Rescue personnel from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation were called in to provide first aid. However, the man reportedly refused both medical treatment for his injuries and transport to hospital.

Authorities did not release further details regarding his identity or the exact circumstances of the fall.

Officials used the incident as a reminder for tourists and nightlife visitors to take extra care when consuming alcohol, particularly near waterfront areas, piers, and other locations where falls or accidents can occur.

Despite suffering a head wound and minor injuries, the foreign man refused both medical treatment and hospital transport after the fall near the waterfront area.
