The drunk road-raged driver of the white Toyota Vios smashed his car into a taxi, then walks over to the cab and punches the driver several times in the face.

A drunk driver who smashed into a taxi in Pattaya punched the driver in the face for good measure.
Apisit Chiewchalard, 24, was arrested following the Aug. 17 crash on Sukhumvit Road at Central Road. Testing at more than 0.1% blood alcohol, Apisit wrecked his Toyota Vios, crashing into the side of a Bangkok-registered cab, slightly injuring driver Sitthipong Puttanurak, 67, and his foreign passengers.

But even before the taxi driver could get out of his car, a road-raged Apisit came up to his window and punched the senior citizen several times in the face and eyes. At 67, he could not fight back, Sitthiphong told police.
After calming down, Apisit apologized and police said he confessed to the assault. But he insisted the taxi ran a red light. Sitthiphong said he was certain the light was green when he made his right turn.

The young man begged police not to charge him, but police slapped Apisit with drunk-driving charges and are investigating who caused the accident.

Medics treated the cabbie and his passengers who were injured in the accident.
