Disadvantaged Koh Si Chang residents receive royal relief

Their Majesties the King and the Queen provided relief to poor, disabled and elderly residents of Koh Si Chang, offering donations of cash, daily supplies and equipment to island residents and schools.

Privy Councilor Gen. Surayud Chulanont, representing the royal couple, presented the aid to residents Phrom Abduldaramun, Loo Suphewee and Jumnong Butpuannit. All three had petitioned the palace for economic relief. In addition to cash and supplies, Surayud also brought teams of workers to perform renovations on storm-damaged houses.

The privy councilor presented 5,000 bags of supplies to the elderly, disabled and poor, along with sets of signed royal photos, books and sports equipment to principals of the island’s two schools.

In addition, doctors from Ramathibodi Hospital offered medical and dental services.
