PATTAYA, Thailand – Residents and visitors in Pattaya are advised to prepare for cooler and breezier conditions as a cold front from northern Thailand moves southward. The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) reports that temperatures across the Bangkok metropolitan area, the East, and upper Southern Thailand are dropping by 1–2°C, bringing a noticeable chill to the city.
Pattaya is expected to experience cool weather with northeast winds blowing at 10–30 km/h. Daytime highs will reach 28–30°C, while nighttime lows may drop to 17–19°C. The breezy conditions will make evenings feel cooler than the thermometer suggests, so residents and tourists are encouraged to wear layers when venturing outdoors.
While lower Southern provinces are seeing a decrease in rainfall, some showers and thunderstorms are still expected in the region, mainly affecting areas further south. Sea conditions in the Gulf of Thailand near Pattaya remain moderate, with waves reaching around 1–2 meters, and mariners are advised to exercise caution if planning to venture out.
Authorities also remind the public to take precautions during this cooler period, including safeguarding against potential fire hazards in dry, windy conditions and ensuring crops and outdoor plants are protected.
For real-time updates, visitors and residents are encouraged to follow TMD forecasts and advisories.
