Chonburi PAO puts 560,000 baht towards Songkran road safety

The Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization allocated 560,000 baht for road safety efforts during Songkran. The funds will be used to finance road checkpoints and support centers from April 11-17.

The Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization allocated 560,000 baht for road safety efforts during Songkran.

PAO President Wittaya Kunplome presented the funds to Gov.  Pakarathorn Thienchai for the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department at the province’s monthly administrative meeting.

The funds will be used to finance road checkpoints and support centers from April 11-17. The support centers will offer car checks, refreshments and chances for fatigued motorists to rest.

Authorities said traffic enforcement efforts actually will be increased a week prior to the Thai New Year holiday.
