Chonburi organizes aid for 500 Sattahip residents

Sattahip’s less fortunate received everything from food and scholarships to bicycles and eyeglasses at a government outreach event in Bang Saray.

Gov. Khomsan Ekachai and Permanent Secretary Phawat Lertmukda presided over the Jan. 21 event at the Samakeebanpot Temple in Bang Saray. About 500 community leaders, senior citizens, students, disabled residents and underprivileged citizens attended.

Organized by the Chonburi Red Cross, the event saw the distribution of bags of relief supplies, cash stipends, school scholarships, bicycles, reading glasses and educational equipment.

Phawat said the outreach was part of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization’s efforts to reach out to rural residents, the poor, disabled and elderly to supply them with necessities to have a self-sufficient and comfortable life.
