Tithipan Chuaboonchai chaired the subcommittee meeting Nov. 7 at the Tide Resort, one of four forums to be held in coming months on law and order statutes. Future hearings will be held in Surat Thani, Chiang Mai and Ubon Ratchathani.

The forum was set up for government- and private-sector groups to give their opinions and put forward well-crafted proposals on detailed laws to support the principles laid out in the constitution, which was approved by the public in a referendum Aug. 7.

The CDC stipulated that any opinions and proposals submitted must be detailed, have an introduction and summary and list important facts and justifications. All must be aimed at improving society, the committee added.
