Infinity Medical Clinic apologized after shoppers complained they were aggressively approached by sales staff surrounding escalators inside a Bangkok mall, prompting the clinic to cancel the promotion and remove the entire event team.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Infinity Medical Clinic has issued a public apology and removed its entire promotional team following online backlash over aggressive sales tactics at a shopping mall in Bangkok’s Rama 9 area on May 28. The controversy erupted after a Facebook user shared photos showing nearly 10 clinic sales staff allegedly positioning themselves around escalators inside the mall to approach shoppers and promote beauty treatment packages. The post quickly drew criticism online, with many users complaining the setup made it “almost impossible to walk” and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for visitors. The incident also resonated with many Pattaya residents and tourists, where similar complaints have occasionally surfaced involving aggressive street promoters, beauty sales agents, and tour representatives approaching pedestrians in busy shopping and nightlife areas.

In an official statement, the clinic acknowledged complaints regarding inappropriate staff behavior during the promotional campaign at its Central Rama 9 branch. Management said an internal review found that too many staff members had been assigned to the event and that some employees may have used behavior and language that did not meet the clinic’s customer service standards. The clinic announced immediate disciplinary action, including removing the entire event team from the area and canceling all promotional booth activities at the branch effective immediately. The company said it would use the incident as an opportunity to improve staff training and service standards moving forward.
