BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul presented 44 Prime Minister’s Export Awards 2026 at Government House on August 7, recognizing Thai businesses for their performance in international markets. The awards covered seven categories, including exporters, Thai brands, green and sustainable businesses, design, services, OTOP products, and halal products. Anutin called for Thailand to move beyond exporting goods toward creating higher-value products and innovation while becoming more integrated into global supply chains. The government is pursuing free trade agreements, new export markets, and regulatory changes while improving infrastructure to support trade and investment.
According to Government Spokesperson Rachada Dhanadirek, the administration also plans to support future industries and wider adoption of digital technology and artificial intelligence in production and product development. Assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises will continue to help more Thai businesses enter international markets and reduce reliance on individual export destinations. The 44 awards included nine for Best Exporter, nine for Best Thai Brand, seven for Best Green & Sustainable Exporter, eight for Best Design, six for Best Services Enterprise, three for Best OTOP, and two for Best Halal. Anutin also encouraged domestic consumers to support Thai products while businesses continue expanding their presence overseas. (NNT)
