BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul departed Thailand for Tokyo on September 20 to begin an official mission to Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The Prime Minister will conduct official duties in Tokyo from September 20 to 21, including chairing a meeting of Team Thailand agencies. He will then travel to New York to participate in the High-level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81) from September 21 to 24.
While in New York, the Prime Minister will attend the UN General Debate, meet with international leaders and senior UN officials, and engage with investors and business representatives. He will deliver Thailand’s national statement at the General Debate on September 24. The Prime Minister will then travel to London for meetings on September 25 and 26, with a focus on investment, capital markets, and cooperation with the UK private sector.
The delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun, and Minister of Digital Economy and Society Chaichanok Chidchob. Federation of Thai Capital Market Organizations Chairman Paiboon Nalinthrangkurn and Stock Exchange of Thailand President Asadej Kongsiri are also joining the mission. The trip will focus on strengthening international cooperation and expanding opportunities in trade, investment, capital markets, technology, and the digital economy.
