Rescue volunteers assist an injured American motorcyclist after a Thappaya Road crash early Friday morning.

PATTAYA, Thailand – An American motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Thappaya Road in South Pattaya at 3:36 a.m. on September 13. Rescue volunteers responding to the emergency found a red-and-black Yamaha MT-15 motorcycle lying in the road after hitting a streetlight pole on the median.



The rider, Mr. Young Eric Dawan, 42, suffered a cut to his left eye and multiple abrasions. Rescue personnel provided first aid on-site before transporting him to a nearby hospital.

Eyewitness Boonchin Onthaworn, 45, said the motorcyclist lost control while exiting the Soi Lang Kao Naval Radio Station intersection, veered onto the median, and struck the pole. Quick action by the volunteer team helped stabilize him before hospital transfer.
