A section of Pattaya’s railway-parallel road closed during off-hours Tuesday for a week as part of the ongoing flood-control project.

About 800 meters of the railway road between Chaiyapornwithi Road (Siam Country Club Road) and the Nong Ket Yai intersection will be closed from 4 p.m.-8 a.m. each night as Saha Hydro Co. subcontractors lay massive drainage pipes under the roadway. The company is laying pipes from the canal behind Naklua Eur-arthorn Village to the Mitsamphan Community.

During the closure, the road on the Banglamung Ice Factory side will be impassable. Vehicles coming from Sukhumvit Road will not be able to pass to the Nongprue side and must divert to the left to go to Soi Nong Ket Yai instead.

Vehicles coming from Nongprue can turn left to make a U-turn to go to Sukhumvit Road as normal.
There are no detours. Motorists are simply advised to avoid the area.
