Deputy Mayor Vichien Pongpanit opened the March 12-14 camp for the 1,322 boy and girl scouts at Vajiravudh Scout Camp in Sriracha. More than 100 Pattaya Scout Commodores were on hand to lead lessons and activities that required both practical and mental practice.

Lessons covered intelligence and morality, while practical drills tested the scouts’ skills with a compass and map and setting up a camp.

Fun, of course, was on the agenda as well with a huge group campfire the first night.

The goal of the third-annual event was to instill a sense of unity, generosity, morality and cooperation in the youths.
