MC Ren Lexander presents Barry Kenyon with the PCEC’s Certificate of Appreciation for his informative and interesting presentation about Fake News.

PATTAYA, Thailand – On August 13, Barry Kenyon delivered an insightful presentation to the Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) on the topic of fake news. The talk delved into the historical roots, impact, and evolution of fake news, with a particular focus on its implications in Pattaya, Thailand.

Barry began by tracing the origins of fake news, highlighting how misinformation has been a part of human history for centuries. He provided examples from ancient times, demonstrating that the phenomenon is not a modern invention but rather a persistent issue that has evolved with technology and media.

The presentation then shifted to the modern era, where Barry discussed the various forms of fake news that have emerged in recent years. He emphasized the role of social media in amplifying misinformation and the challenges it poses for discerning truth from falsehood. Barry also shared specific incidents of fake news in Pattaya, illustrating how such misinformation can influence public perception and behavior.

The presentation concluded with a lively Q&A session, where attendees had the opportunity to ask Barry questions and share their own experiences with fake news. Barry’s presentation to the PCEC was a timely reminder of the pervasive nature of fake news and the need for vigilance in an age of information overload.

1. Viky Melsky guides her audience through a meditation exercise designed to help individuals connect with the universe and feel warmth and confidence.

Following Barry’s talk, Viky Melsky provided an insightful talk on the transformative power of meditation including a guided meditation session, personal anecdotes, and practical advice. Viky began by defining meditation as a practice that helps individuals disconnect from external noise and connect with their body, mind, and soul. She emphasized that meditation could make one feel youthful and self-aware, regardless of age.

One of the highlights of Viky’s presentation was the visualization of energy. She guided participants to find a small light inside themselves, representing their soul, and expand this energy throughout their body and aura. This exercise aimed to help individuals connect with the universe and feel warmth and confidence.

Viky also shared personal experiences and insights into the benefits of various meditation techniques, such as transcendental meditation, box breathing, and chanting. The session concluded with Viky encouraging participants to trust themselves, repeat the meditation experience, and maintain a peaceful connection with their inner energy and soul.
