PATTAYA, Thailand – Thailand’s Transport Co. is ready to accommodate the winter travel season, providing safe and convenient bus services for the public. Managing Director Atthawit Rakjamroon said the northern and northeastern provinces, including Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Loei, Nakhon Phanom, and Sakon Nakhon, are expected to see heavy travel as tourists and locals seek cooler weather.

Transport Co. has prepared 6,000–7,000 daily bus trips, serving 90,000–120,000 passengers per day, with additional trips available to prevent congestion. Current daily operations average 5,000–6,000 trips and 80,000–90,000 passengers.

Safety measures are emphasized, including vehicle inspections before departure, speed limits of 90 km/h, dual drivers on long routes over four hours, and mandatory seatbelt use. The initiative aims to ensure comfort, punctuality, and fair fares while boosting passenger confidence in Thailand’s public transport system. (TNA)
