BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand’s beauty and wellness industry is attracting growing interest from international manufacturers, as younger entrepreneurs launch their own brands and demand rises for contract manufacturing, innovative ingredients and halal-certified cosmetics.

RX BITEC will host COSMEX 2026 from November 3 to 5 at BITEC Bangna’s Hall 98, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers and business operators in cosmetics, personal care and dietary supplements. Organizers expect more than 25,000 visitors and over 700 suppliers representing 300 brands from 20 countries.

Waraporn Thamjaree, managing director of RX BITEC (Thailand), said Thailand’s beauty market continued to show strong potential, supported by demand at home and abroad. The combined Thai markets for cosmetics, personal care products and dietary supplements were valued at 312 billion baht in 2025. The Thai Cosmetic Manufacturers Association expects the cosmetics market alone to grow by around 7.4% in 2026, reaching approximately 290 billion to 300 billion baht.

Exports of cosmetics, soap and skincare products reached US$3.56 billion, or approximately 117.48 billion baht, in 2025, according to figures from the Department of International Trade Promotion.

The industry is also evolving from a conventional beauty market into a broader beauty and wellness economy, combining external skincare with products designed to support wellbeing, including supplements, vitamins, prebiotics and postbiotics.

Korean and Chinese manufacturers target new brands

The growing popularity of entrepreneurship among younger consumers is driving demand for original equipment manufacturing (OEM), original design manufacturing (ODM) and ready-made private-label products.

Manufacturers from South Korea, China, Taiwan and Japan are increasingly seeking opportunities to serve this market, each highlighting different strengths. South Korean suppliers emphasise new innovations developed in their home factories, while Chinese companies focus on varied packaging, advanced technology and cost competitiveness. Japanese and Taiwanese suppliers highlight production machinery, technology and advanced bioactive ingredients.

T-Beauty seeks international recognition

Thai businesses and government agencies are also working to introduce Thai beauty products, known as T-Beauty, to international buyers. COSMEX 2026 will feature three dedicated zones. The Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine will present products made from Thai herbs, connecting manufacturers with importers, exporters, distributors and spa and wellness businesses.

The DIPROM Pavilion, supported by the Department of Industrial Promotion and operated by the Institute for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, will showcase Thai businesses and help them connect with international buyers. The Fragrance Zone, presented by Thailand Fragrance Group, will feature Thai perfume brands including Journal, Artisan Valley and fragrance manufacturer Madame Fin.

Halal cosmetics offer new opportunities

Halal cosmetics will be another focus, as businesses respond to growing attention to halal standards in Muslim-majority markets. RX BITEC is partnering with the Halal Institute at Prince of Songkla University to present COSMEX Halal Cosmetics, bringing together products and business partners involved in developing cosmetics that meet halal requirements.

A separate seminar on the halal cosmetics industry and opportunities in the global halal market is scheduled for November 26, with speakers expected from religious, business and academic organizations, as well as a former Thai ambassador to Bahrain.

Suppliers showcase beauty and wellness innovations

Exhibitors will present products and technologies reflecting the convergence of beauty, wellness and advanced manufacturing. S&J International will showcase Natural UV Booster, an ingredient derived from organic Thai roses designed to enhance sunscreen performance. International Laboratories (ILC) will present a hair treatment that transforms from a liquid into a cream, while Taiwan’s RM Biotech will feature synthetic peptides and advanced bioactive ingredients for skincare and aesthetic medicine.

South Korean company WONBIO will introduce GLINITY, a skin booster designed for at-home microneedle care using magnesium microneedles. HACK LAB will showcase Spanish dermocosmetics brand ISDIN and South Korean brand Curecode, which uses NEUROMIDE technology for skin care.

Guangzhou Ailusi Machinery and PRIMIX, represented by TSK Engineering, will demonstrate vacuum mixing machinery and corrosion-resistant production lines designed to meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Through its international supplier network, Thai product showcases and dedicated halal cosmetics program, COSMEX 2026 aims to connect businesses with new technologies, manufacturing partners and opportunities in the global beauty and wellness market.
