SET President Asadej Kongsiri says Thailand Focus 2026 will connect 78 Thai listed companies with global institutional investors, highlighting business growth plans, investment opportunities and stronger confidence in Thailand’s capital market.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is preparing to host “Thailand Focus 2026: Reignite Thailand” from Aug. 26-28, bringing together listed companies, government representatives, business leaders and global institutional investors to showcase investment opportunities and Thailand’s growth potential. The event will be opened by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas, who will deliver a keynote address, while Energy Minister Akanat Promphan and senior representatives from the business, financial and capital-market sectors will share their views on Thailand’s economic direction and investment opportunities.

SET President Asadej Kongsiri said Thailand Focus is an important platform for presenting the potential of Thailand’s capital market directly to institutional investors from around the world. This year, 78 Thai listed companies from SET and mai, representing a wide range of industries, will participate and meet with global institutional investors. The event will also provide an opportunity for investors to hear directly from government policymakers and relevant stakeholders, allowing the public sector, capital market, listed companies and investors to exchange views and build a better understanding of Thailand’s economic and business environment.

Asadej said the SET has continued to promote Thailand’s capital-market potential to international investors throughout the year, including through meetings in major global investment centers. Thailand Focus serves as a flagship event that brings those efforts together in Thailand. A key feature of this year’s event will be the participation of 16 listed companies in the JUMP+ program, which will present their three-year targets and business plans aimed at increasing corporate value. Their plans will cover areas including business development, corporate governance and greenhouse-gas management.

The event will also have a regional focus, with senior executives from stock exchanges in six ASEAN countries — Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam — as well as ASEAN-listed companies, sharing perspectives on connecting capital with growth opportunities across the region. Asadej said the Thai stock market has regained significant momentum, with the SET Index rising nearly 30% since the beginning of the year, making it the fourth-best-performing market globally during the period.

He attributed the stronger investment environment to several factors, including continued foreign capital inflows, improved perceptions of Thailand’s creditworthiness by leading international rating institutions and clearer government economic policies aimed at supporting long-term growth. He added that Thai businesses continue to have strong fundamentals and the ability to adapt to rapid changes in the global economy. These challenges, he said, could also create opportunities for companies to strengthen their competitiveness.

Thailand Focus 2026 will also feature government policy discussions aimed at driving Thailand’s economic development. Ekniti will outline the government’s economic direction, while Akanat will present strategies and policies related to the energy sector. The SET is organizing the event in cooperation with several investment-banking partners, including CLSA Securities (Thailand), DBS Vickers Securities (Thailand), Kiatnakin Phatra Securities, BofA Securities and UBS Securities (Thailand).

“Thailand Focus 2026: Reignite Thailand” will take place from Aug. 26-28 at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok. The first day’s seminar will also be livestreamed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 26 through SET Thailand’s Facebook and YouTube channels.  (TNA)
