Pattaya reviews plans for fireworks, jazz and year-end festivals

Wichet Nongyai chairs Pattaya’s Tourism and Culture Committee meeting on October 9 to review preparations for the November fireworks and jazz festivals, New Year countdown and other tourism events.

PATTAYA , Thailand – Pattaya officials reviewed preparations for major tourism events, festivals and promotional campaigns during a Tourism and Culture Committee meeting at Pattaya City Hall on October 9, including the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival on November 27–28 and Pattaya Jazz Festival on November 6–7.

Wichet Nongyai, Pattaya City Council member and chairman of the Tourism and Culture Committee, chaired the meeting, attended by committee members, the director of the Tourism and Sports Office and representatives of relevant agencies. Deputy Mayors Krisana Boonsawat and Damrongkiat Pinijkarn also observed the discussions and exchanged views on the city’s tourism and cultural plans.



The committee reviewed progress and discussed arrangements for several major events, including the Pattaya Jazz Festival on November 6–7, the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival on November 27–28, New Year countdown celebrations at the end of December, music festivals and sporting events. The discussions also covered producing desk calendars for tourism promotion, organizing Pattaya Road Shows in Thailand and overseas, and coordinating activities involving the Education Office and other tourism-related programs.

The committee aims to ensure that events and promotional activities are properly planned and coordinated in support of Pattaya’s development as a major tourism destination. Members also raised questions about implementation challenges and obstacles affecting various projects. Relevant officials provided explanations and details, while suggestions from the meeting will be considered in planning future operations.


Wichet said the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views and establish clearer directions for tourism work, with the interests of residents, businesses and visitors remaining a priority.

He added that events should reflect Pattaya’s potential, create positive experiences for visitors and support continued economic activity in the city.
