Pattaya Mayor sends off Chonburi youth shooting team ahead of Surat Thani Games

Pattaya officials give encouragement to young athletes representing Chonburi ahead of the National Youth Games in Surat Thani.

PATTAYA, Thailand –Mayor Poramet Ngampichet and Deputy Mayor Kritsana Boonsawat offered words of encouragement to young tactical shooting athletes representing Chonburi ahead of the 41st National Youth Games, also known as the “Surat Thani Games.” The send-off took place at Pattaya City Hall on May 5, where athletes, coaches, and proud parents gathered before the team’s departure. The delegation was led by Supachok Thanasang, president of the Pattaya Tactical Shooting Club.



The 41st National Youth Games will be held from May 7 to 17, in Surat Thani, with the airsoft tactical shooting events scheduled for May 15–17. Chonburi has fielded a total of 17 athletes in the discipline, including students from Pattaya City schools and other institutions across the province.


Mayor Poramet encouraged the athletes to take pride in representing their province, remain dedicated, and follow their coaches’ guidance. He emphasized that sportsmanship matters more than winning, and wished the team success and a safe journey. City officials expressed confidence in the team’s potential and extended full support, hoping they will bring pride back to Chonburi.

A total of 17 youth competitors will represent Chonburi in tactical shooting at the upcoming “Surat Thani Games.”
