PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City has produced a new public service announcement (PSA) to educate residents and tourists about air quality and PM 2.5 dust levels, aiming to boost public confidence and promote health awareness.

The filming involved Mayor Poramet Ngampichet and Deputy Mayor Manot Nongyai, who demonstrated how to respond appropriately to the six PM 2.5 levels, helping viewers understand the proper protective measures for themselves and their families.

The PSA was shot at several key locations, including Lan Pho Naklua Park, Pattaya Beach, Khao Phra Tamnak, local schools, and Pattaya City Hospital. Scenes included students wearing masks during high pollution levels and exercising outdoors under safe conditions, illustrating practical behaviors for each air quality scenario.

The two-minute PSA will be broadcast through Pattaya’s mobile air quality monitoring stations at major city points and shared on the city’s social media channels. Officials hope the initiative will reassure tourists, inform residents, and encourage proactive health measures during periods of poor air quality.
