Pattaya is set to sparkle as the International Fireworks Festival 2025 returns on November 28–29 with world-class pyrotechnics, concerts, and cultural showcases.

PATTAYA, Thailand — The skies above Pattaya Beach will once again light up in spectacular fashion as the Pattaya International Fireworks Festival 2025 returns on November 28–29, promising two nights of dazzling displays, live entertainment, and one of the most anticipated events on Thailand’s tourism calendar.

The annual festival, recognized as one of Asia’s premier pyrotechnic showcases, is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to Chonburi province. Hotels, restaurants, and beachfront businesses are already gearing up for a surge in bookings.

City officials say preparations are underway to ensure smooth traffic flow, public safety, and enough public facilities to accommodate the crowds. “Pattaya is ready to welcome the world once again,” said a City Hall spokesperson. “This festival is not only a celebration but also a major driver for the local economy.”

Crowds, colors, and celebrations — Pattaya Beach will transform into a stage of lights as visitors from around the globe gather for Thailand’s most spectacular festival.

While excitement is running high, some visitors and residents are voicing concerns about rising accommodation costs during the festival weekend. Beachfront rooms, which are normally within reach for most travelers, are already being advertised at double or even triple their usual rates.

“It’s beautiful, but every year it gets harder for families to afford staying close to the action,” said a Bangkok visitor who has attended three consecutive years. Still, seasoned festivalgoers say the key is to plan ahead—some may bet on booking as early as possible to secure a smiling deal before prices soar.

Long-term visitors also worry about overcrowding. “The fireworks are world-class, no doubt,” said a foreign resident of Pattaya. “But the city really needs to improve traffic management. Last year, it took me nearly two hours just to get out of the beachfront area.”

While excitement builds, locals and travelers raise concerns over rising accommodation costs and traffic — early planning may be the key to a stress-free festival.

What to expect
The festival will feature:
-Fireworks competitions from international teams from 8 PM to midnight
-Concerts and live performances along the beach
-Food and cultural stalls showcasing Thai and international cuisine

Viewing zones will stretch from Bali Hai Pier up to North Pattaya Beach, with several free public seating areas available. Premium packages at rooftop bars and seaside hotels are also being promoted for tourists seeking a more exclusive experience.

For Pattaya, the festival is more than just a visual spectacle—it’s part of a broader strategy to brand the city as a global tourism hub beyond nightlife. Officials hope the event will inject millions of baht into the local economy, especially during Thailand’s high season.

Despite challenges, the mood across the city remains upbeat. As one local food vendor put it: “Yes, the crowds are big, but they bring life to Pattaya. We wait all year for this weekend.”
