PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya is preparing for the 10th Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race on October 31, with more than 5,000 runners and supporters expected from over 30 countries for a 5-kilometre seaside run celebrating Halloween.
Deputy Mayor Krisana Boonsawat chaired a preparation meeting at Pattaya City Hall on October 27, bringing together relevant agencies and organisers to coordinate arrangements, improve safety and ensure a smooth experience for Thai and international participants.
The race will take place along Pattaya Beach in front of Central Pattaya, with runners scheduled to start at approximately 5.30 p.m. The event has become a popular fixture on Pattaya’s sporting calendar, combining beach running with entertainment and attracting participants from overseas.
This year’s 10th-anniversary edition will embrace the Halloween theme, followed by a Glow Party and Beach Concert at the Sunken area on the ground floor of Central Pattaya. The entertainment program will feature Thai singer Laem Somphol, adding live music and a glowing party atmosphere to the evening.
Under the theme “RUN THE WAVE. OWN THE NIGHT,” the event aims to combine sport, entertainment and beachfront tourism while supporting Pattaya’s local economy.

Safety was a key focus of the preparation meeting, particularly at road-crossing points along the running route. Organisers and relevant agencies were instructed to coordinate traffic management and deploy personnel to assist runners and keep participants safe.
Pattaya also instructed beach umbrella and sunbed operators in zones 65–73 and zone 74 to clear their equipment, cover it and secure it with ropes after 8 p.m. on October 29 and 30. Operators must suspend business in these areas on October 31 to prepare the beach for the event, with normal service scheduled to resume on the morning of November 1. The city has also recommended a post-event assessment to identify improvements for future editions.
Registration is available through Thai Run at https://race.thai.run/bikinirun2026. The first 500 registrants will receive an additional 200-baht cash voucher. Pattaya says the event forms part of its wider effort to promote sports tourism, attract international visitors and establish the city as a destination for major international activities.
