Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2026 takes over Benjakitti Park from April 11–15, bringing the culture, music, and festive spirit of Thailand’s five regions into one massive, splash-filled celebration.

PATTAYA, Thailand – The world’s biggest water festival is about to take over Bangkok. And this year, it’s unlike anything before.

Prepare yourself for the “Maha Songkran 2026: World Water Festival,” to be held 11-15 April 2026, 11.00 AM – 10.00 PM at Benjakitti Park (formerly the Tobacco Factory), Bangkok.

This year’s grand celebration of Songkran will bring the “Charm of Thailand’s 5 Regions” in one place.

Here’s what’s waiting for you:

– East: Vibrant seaside vibes and a funky beach club atmosphere with tropical city-themed photo spots;

– North: Exhibition of floating lanterns, historic temples, and slow-life charm and Lanna culture, under the theme “Feel all the feelings;”

– Northeast: Lively spirit of Isan cultural themed zone, packed with colorful Isan clothes, majestic Naga elements, and energetic Mor Lam music;


– South: Unique southern culture showcases, including traditional shadow puppet performances (Nang Talung) and rare cultural showcases; and

– Central: Central Thailand’s rich heritage exhibition, the elegance of Thai literature and mythology, and intricately crafted giant (Yaksha) figures.
