PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Beach will host an ambitious world-record attempt on October 7, when a giant Thai national flag measuring 4,303.04 square feet is set to descend from the sky onto the beach. The event, organized under the ONE FLAG THAILAND initiative, will see the enormous Thai flag carried above Pattaya before being brought down to the beach as part of the record-setting mission.

Prof. Dr. Kirati Charoenchonvanich, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, will be the first person to bring the Thai flag down to Pattaya Beach during the mission. The team is scheduled to make two attempts on the day, with the first descent expected at around 7:30 a.m.

Organisers are encouraging the public to arrive early to witness the first attempt. If the team successfully completes the mission and records the world record during the first jump, the second attempt will not take place.
