A motorcyclist was killed when a Bangkok BMW driver hit a second motorbike, causing a chain-reaction crash.

Surakai Kajonkulcharoen, 52, died at the scene of the Feb. 2 wreck on Soi Siam Country Club before the Mitkamol intersection.



Honda Zoomer driver Prajak Buppasung, 49, and BMW driver Nattapol Namuangruk, 25, sustained less-severe injuries.

Prajak said he was driving toward Sukhumvit Road when Nattapol rear-ended him. His Zoomer skid and hit Surakai’s oncoming Honda Wave, which, in turn, was hit by the BMW and crashed.

The young driver of the Bangkok-registered luxury sedan did not speak to police and underwent a blood-alcohol test. Results were not released.

Police were checking CCTV cameras in the area to piece together the carnage.
