Provinces organize Children’s Day activities

BANGKOK– Agencies from many sectors are preparing presents and organizing activities to bring happiness to children on Children’s Day tomorrow, with some agencies already celebrating ahead of the occasion.

In the southern border province of Pattani, the Internal Security Operations Command has opened the Sirindhorn Camp, where children can check out tanks, armored vehicles, Humvee trucks, weapons and other military equipment, under the close supervision of soldiers who are wearing cute mascots. Young visitors can watch a paramotor show and visit booths, where they can paint pictures and play games to enhance their intellectual development.

In the northeastern province of Chaiyaphum, the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) is celebrating the annual Children’s Day by giving scholarships to students, and stationery items and sports equipment to schools under its jurisdiction.

In Chanthaburi province, parents are invited to take their children to Public Relations Office, Area 7, where they can learn about television and radio programming and broadcasting activities. They can also visit the Chanthaburi City Hall and have a chance to sit in the provincial governor’s chair.

Many agencies are organizing entertaining activities for Children’s Day tomorrow, with great prizes up for grabs.
