PM invites public to join activities in remembrance of the late beloved monarch

Bangkok – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is inviting all sectors, including the general public residing in and outside Thailand, to remember the benevolence of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 13, by organizing religious rites and activities to mark the passing of the late beloved monarch.

Activities, such as alms offerings, religious ceremonies of other religions or other activities deemed appropriate, can be held before or after October 13.

The government will hold a merit-making ceremony as a tribute to His Majesty the late King and an alms-offering ceremony on Friday, October 12 at Government House.

Members of the public are also invited to wear yellow shirts on October 13.

The Prime Minister has urged Thai people to foster unity and follow His Majesty the late King’s teachings for sustainable happiness in life and for the prosperity of the country.
