Visitors must book tickets in advance and follow health and safety guidelines. Entry will be free of charge until 30 June.

The Zoological Park Organization (ZPO) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment today reopened six zoos and an elephant park offering free entry until 30 June.

The ZPO is adapting to a “new normal” measure to prevent the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infections with the opening of Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Chiang Mai Zoo, Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo, Song khla Zoo, Khon Kaen Zoo, Ubon Ratchathani Zoo, and the Elephant Kingdom Project of Surin Province.

Visitors are required to book their visits in advance over the phone or via the website https://www.eventpop.me/e/9040/zoothailand.

The number of visitors per day will be capped at 2,000 over two entry periods, which are 08.00-12.00 Hrs. and 12.00-17.00 Hrs. This is to reduce overcrowding and shorten visiting times.

On arrival, visitors must have their temperature checked and register their entry on the Thai Chana online platform, as well as to check-out on exit.

Social distancing will be enforced in crowded areas; such as, ticket booths, standing points for viewing the animals, shuttle buses, visitor service centres, restaurants and food stalls.
