Udon Thani holds organic farming exhibition


UDON THANI, 25 April 2014  — Udon Thani’s Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) is holding an organic farming exhibition to celebrate the province’s 121th anniversary. 

Udon Thani is currently holding an organic farming exhibition from April 24-26 in an aim to stimulate local knowledge sharing among the province’s farmers in the field of organic farming.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was presided over by Udon Thani’s governor, Mr. Senee Chittakasem and related government officials. Organic farming has been one of the province’s policies in promoting an attractive city and becoming an agricultural hub in the Mekong region.

The 121 year organic farming exhibition is being held at UD Hall at the local shopping complex, UD Town. Activities at the event include knowledge sharing of organic farming as well as workshops, crop growing competitions, cultural performances, and the sale of OTOP products.
