Thailand 2020 in Khon Kean concludes


KHON KEAN, 28 Oct 2013,The Thailand 2020 Roadshow in Khon Kean has concluded with a cooking contest. The winner’s menu will be featured in the high speed train when it is operational in the near future. 

Winning the contest was Sufficiency Kitchen, a team from Khon Kean Province, whose menu comprised Papaya Pad Thai, Banana Blossom Tod Man, Hor Mok Songsahai, and Herbal Rice.

The first runner-up was the Yingsak Kitchen team from Kalasin Province, whose highlights were Fried Som Tam, Bamboo Shoot Green Curry Fried Spaghetti, Pork Rib and Bamboo Shoot Stew, and Banana Flambe.

Deputy Governor of Khon Kean Province Winai Sittimonton handed out awards to the winners.

Thailand 2020 Roadshow, held at Anek Prasong Hall in Khon Kaen university, featured the country’s future development plan as well as elaborating on the importance of the infrastructure mega-project to the locals, including how it would increase the quality of life for locals, and what Khon Kaen and its nearby vicinity stood to benefit from it.
