BANGKOK, 25 May 2015 – OTOP MIDYEAR 2015 unofficially kicks off today at Hall 1-8, IMPACT areana, in order to help promote creativity and innovations of new-generation OTOP suppliers.

The fair will be officially opened on Tuesday 26 May with Deputy Minister of Interior Sutee Markboon presiding over the ceremony. The first day of the event was bustling with visitors coming to choose products from a wide range of more than 1,400 categories of OTOP goods.

Saipirun Noisiri, Deputy Director-General of the Community Development Department, said that the fair provides not only an additional channel for OTOP traders to strengthen their market in the country but also an opportunity for the younger-generation OTOP suppliers to present their products to the world market.

“We try to present the concept: “From Hundred to Million”, in response to our efforts to encourage younger producers to invest their own creativity and innovation in the value-adding process, making their products more valuable which will result in higher returns,” said Saipirun.
