NCPO chief meets Chinese investors to confirm normal investment environment

BANGKOK, 6 June 2014 – The Chief of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha today met with Chinese investors to build confidence among foreign investors in Thailand.

The NCPO’s spokesperson Patamaporn Ratanadilok Na Phuket, revealed that the Thai Chamber of Commerce’s representatives conducted Chinese investors from the banking and industrial sectors on a private visit to meet Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha for business discussions.

He urged the Chinese investors to broadly disseminate Thailand’s current social situation in the knowledge that investment and tourism are running as normal. The NCPO has no plan to gain any benefit for itself and will expedite the formation of a new government.

According to Ms. Patamaporn, the NCPO follows up each project with an assurance of transparency and reaffirms that foreign investments should be based on the development of Thai personnel, value enhancement and benefit to the public.
