BANGKOK, Thailand – National Police Chief Pol Gen Samran Nualma has instructed police nationwide to listen more closely to public concerns, respond quickly to incidents and pursue drug networks through every level of their operations.

He gave the directives during the fifth Royal Thai Police administration meeting of 2026, held at the national police headquarters on October 30 at 2.30pm. Senior police commanders, inspectors and representatives from police units across the country attended. Samran thanked senior officers and commanders for their work in managing the force before setting out priorities for the coming period.

He told officers to visit communities, listen directly to residents’ problems and use that information to develop practical solutions. He also stressed that police must reach incident scenes quickly whenever emergencies or other situations are reported.

On drug suppression, the national police chief ordered investigators to expand operations and dismantle entire trafficking networks, including their structures and local-level dealers, rather than focusing only on individual arrests. He also instructed commanders of relevant units to accelerate concrete measures to address problems affecting police investigators.
