PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet is inviting residents to Chaiyaphruek 2 Public Park at around 5pm on October 1 for an evening of exercise, community activities and an opportunity to share local concerns directly with the mayor. The program will offer something for different ages and fitness levels, including aerobic dancing, stretching, tai chi, yoga, football, basketball and running.
Residents do not need to be experienced athletes. The activities are designed to give people an opportunity to exercise, spend time outdoors and take part at their own pace. Poramet will also inspect the park and its surroundings while meeting residents and listening to their ideas, suggestions and problems. Issues could include rubbish, homeless people, stray dogs and other concerns affecting the area.
The mayor’s visit is intended to combine exercise with direct contact with residents, giving people an opportunity to raise issues they encounter in their community while Pattaya officials see conditions on the ground. Residents are invited to join the activities and meet the mayor at Chaiyaphruek 2 Public Park at around 5pm on October 1.
